Refermate, a leading cashback and coupon platform, continuously looks for ways to improve its monetization performance and grow revenue from affiliate partnerships. Despite strong traffic in Q4 2023, their earnings were not fully optimized, and the team saw room to improve EPC and conversion efficiency across campaigns.
To address this, Refermate partnered with Cartlinks to enhance how their outbound traffic was monetized. The first major change came through implementing Cartlinks’ AI-powered Smart Redirects, a click-routing system that automatically directs traffic to the affiliate network offering the highest EPC (Earnings Per Click). This ensured that every user click had the best chance of yielding top revenue, regardless of the merchant or program.
Beyond technical optimization, Cartlinks unlocked exclusive offers and higher commission rates by connecting Refermate to private and preferred programs with premium merchants. This included high-converting brands such as Priceline, Wayfair, Fanatics, Macy’s, and Dell, companies that offer both strong user intent and high payout potential.
Another key element was Cartlinks’ dedicated account management, which played a central role in tracking, performance monitoring, and strategic consultation. The Cartlinks team worked closely with Refermate to improve tracking infrastructure, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and spot opportunities to scale across verticals.
This partnership approach meant Refermate wasn’t just handed tools, they were given hands-on support to continuously fine-tune and grow their campaigns.
This strategic collaboration led to a significant uplift in earnings in a short time.
By the end of Q4 2024, Refermate achieved a 27% year-over-year increase in revenue generated through Cartlinks, compared to Q4 2023. This growth was driven by improvements in both conversion rates and EPC, as well as access to exclusive brand deals.
In addition to the revenue increase, Refermate benefited from stronger advertiser relationships, a more stable monetization pipeline, and faster optimization cycles made possible through ongoing account support.
